The Sandalwood Soap Company Ltd was specifically formed to introduce and promote Mysore Sandalwood Oil products within the U.K.
My first visit to India, now one of many, was in 1993, and I immediately fell under the spell of both the Country and its people.
An Indian friend introduced me to the products, and I brought some back to the U.K. as gifts for family and friends. They were so delighted with them, that the departing call as I embarked on my next trip to India, was not just, "Have a good time," but; "Please don't forget to bring us back some Mysore Sandalwood Soap and Talc".
It did not take long to realise that if this was the reaction from family and friends, then the reaction from other people should be the same.
I arranged with an English friend who now lives in India to visit the manufacturing facility of the Company. We were very impressed with the scale of production, stringent quality control, and the advanced staff welfare schemes and employment conditions.
This friend is now our liaison executive based in India and is available to immediately solve any problems or queries arising, on the spot. His long experience in owning and running a related business in the U.K., and my 25 years experience in selling personal Hygiene and cleaning products affords us a good insight into what today's discerning market is now demanding.
I wish to emphasise, that these natural products have never needed to be tested on animals, and no animal derivatives are used in their manufacture, or incorporated in the products.
